The Iron Staghead 🦌

For more than 30 years until the last decade, the Stonehurst estate was a deer farm. Herds of Red, Chital and Fallow roamed the paddocks, enjoying the mountains and flats across the estate. This stag is mounted front and centre of our Wine Cellar building, and reminds us of the property's heritage and changes over the years. Fun fact - this is where our Antler Shiraz gets its name sake!

Our Stonehurst Tawny, picked from our Chambourcin and Shiraz vineyards and matured in oak barrel for up to 10 years. You'll find a decanter of complementary Tawny in each of our cottages on the estate. There's no better way to finish the day than soaking in the flavours of caramelised figs, dried fruit, five-spice and roasted nuts under the starry night sky.
