Autumn in the Hunter Valley is a beautiful time to visit! Spend the warm, sunny days exploring the vineyards; unwind in the cool of the night to a star filled sky; or simply curl up in front of a wood fire with glass of wine in hand.
The vines are picture perfect – turning shades of yellow, orange and red as they start to loose their leaves and rest up from the summer’s harvest. As this year’s vintage is now safely tucked away in barrels or getting prepped for the bottling line, we can hang up our picking snips for another year. Whilst the vines are resting, wedding season kicks back into gear. It’s all hands on deck to ensure the grounds are maintained, the hedges manicured and the cows are moved between paddocks for the next week’s ceremony setting.
The cool weather brings with it wood fires in the cottages, and many a glass of warming red wine. Stonehurst’s organic wine range has 8 different styles of red across our Shiraz, Chambourcin and Pinot Noir varieties; making the perfect excuse to settle into the cellar door in front of our potbelly fireplace.
Call into Stonehurst Cedar Creek and have a taste – grown on organic principles you are welcome to taste the difference for yourself!
